Cake for Jo, Flu jabs and No sleep !

Heya guys :-)

First of all, if this rambles, Apologies. Ive not had more than a few hours sleep due to events of late, and its caught up with me. But i refuse to sleep til nebs are done etc etc.

Anyway ! Today started with waking from an hour and a half of light sleep, after dreaming of a good friend, ambulances, losing this friend *in the physical, I cant find you sense* and waking up In floods of tears. Although it wasnt Jo in the dream, it was someone I care about just as much, if not even more than her, so I imagine yesterday played a large part in it.

The day followed by Faye coming over (For those that dont know, Faye was my partner for 3 and a half years, before we split up and became best mates, and she also cares for me alot when Im ill) and we went to the cake shop round the corner. I had victoria sponge, which was absolutly gorgeous, Jo would have approved. We counted the cakes, and they had 20 different cakes total ! It was a coffee shop, not a bakery....Id call it a cakery I think ! Faye had Carrot cake which was also yum :-D

My (and Jo's) Cake and My Double espresso with a shot of water as well !

Then we went to town (Thats Southend) Just for a wander, and I wanted to have a bit of reflection time, think about things without being stuck in the flat. Didnt buy anything, just went in all the *Man shops* like Dixons etc ! Which Faye hates but I love !

Came home and I laid on the sofa while Faye cleaned the flat (Told you she was a god send) and then helped me get ready to go back out for Pizza Express, which we had £40 vouchers for !
My Pizza was just ok, but at 14", I couldnt manage it all !! Fayes sister (18) and her partner (also 18) came with us so it was a nice family meal out  !

Came home, fell fast sleep from 8-Midnight! Now im chatting to my fave girls in the world, something ive been neglecting lately :-)

Tommorow: Flu jab AND Swine Flu Jab...Friday, hospital !

Keep well guys :-)

Weird Week

First of all, Rest in Peace Jo:

If you have seen my FB note, then the first part is a copy of that:

First my VERY good friend who I love to bits (Jennifer Grannell) is accepted onto the Organ donor register, Then another very close mate (Rachael Wakefield) is accepted too, after a LONG battle getting on it...Now we lose Joanne Christie Dowling (RIP Sweety, Im gonna miss you so much) and need to keep fighting for Jessica Wales and cross our fingers for Victoria Glen and Victoria Tremlett. Not sure how to feel today :-) Hugs appreciated, and thoughts for those guys needed please. JOIN THE SODDING ORGAN DONOR LIST, surely this is enough to convince you?!

For those of you that might want to read it, here is the Last thing Jo said Via FB notes on Sunday Morning:

"" All 4 of my main emotions that i wake up feeling lately. Am always tired but that'll be cos of my tablet. Confused bout my body, haven't had a feed in a week cos as soon as i eat something bam! My O2 sats drop and i start to feel unwell. Worried after my sats drop i get worried cos i end up starting to feel faint and tingly. This just scares me, well, being ill scares me. One nurse said it could be just progression of CF, great! So basically lung damagage, even more of it....Need that call to come. My lung function has dropped alot this year. 16/13 %, not good. Am living wit my Mum and Ian in the week now as it's easier to be looked after. I go back to my dad's every weekend. Anyway am gonna try sleep again hopefully the cat will shut up aswell ""

If reading this doesnt get you to sign the Organ Donor Register, then stuff it, Nothing will, I tried. This isnt some faceless person who has passed away to me, This is just one of another amazing friends Ive lost while they waited for a transplant.
Jo was HIGHLY opinionated, often getting into arguments because she stood her ground ALOT, and even if I didnt always agree with her, I was always happy to see her standing her ground and arguing away ! If she Wasnt doing that, I was worried, because it meant she didnt have the energy any more :-(
We often spent nights chatting over FB, bitching about people mostly, and just chatting in general. I loved this girl, and she is going to be sorely missed.
Huge slice of cake in her memory tommorow, at one of the best cake shops in Essex. Her view on Religion was: *There is no GOD, only CAKE*
So it fits her nicely :-)

Not going to say much more, except Well done to Jen and Rachael for getting onto the Organ donor List this week and last week, Lets hope you both get ur calls soon, I love you both loads and you know it.

And to everyone else, I hope you get ur calls soon !

As always, Keep well :-)

EDIT

**This is another Post about Jo, and also about another good friends *False alarm* for her transplant call last night (A false alarm is when you get the call, but it turns out for one reason or another than the lungs arent suitable for you) This is Victorias 6th False alarm since being on the Register. Praying the 7th will do it for you Tori !**
